We have a large number of young families at Cola Pres, and we think sharing our faith with our kids is a really big deal. God has given us a wonderful team to do just that.

All of our COLA kids helpers have read our child care policy, are trained, and have completed a thorough background check prior to serving.

ALLERGY WARNING:
Please be sure your children finish all snacks/drinks prior to entering our COLA kids area. We desire to create a clean and allergy free zone to protect all of our children.

If it’s your first time visiting, come to the Cola Kids Check in desk and we’ll be glad to show you your child’s class. You can fill out the information card ahead of time or when we meet you.

We disciple our kids in four stages on Sunday Mornings:

6 weeks – 3K spend the entire worship service in their class.

4K, 5K, and First Grade join for regular worship and are dismissed prior to the sermon for a special teaching time.

Second through Fifth Grades join for regular worship and are dismissed prior to sermon for teaching time from 9:30 am-10:20, while their parents enjoy coffee and fellowship together.

Sixth Grade and Up enjoy their own youth group geared specifically for them that meets on Sunday evenings. See Youth Ministry Tab.

*2nd-5th Graders also meet monthly for fellowship and teaching on Sunday afternoons at the church at 4:30. See email for dates.

We now also have a childcare option for children ages 0-3 during the 10:30am service.

"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth."

3 JOHN 1:4

The reasons we want to introduce our youngest kids to the regular worship service slowly but soon are many-fold:

  1. Children need to see adults worship and adults need to see children worship. We grow each other’s faith.

  2. We want to build relationships across generations, kids and adults together.

  3. When we share the liturgy and sermon each week, we have an opportunity to talk about these things with our children.

  4. Children get to experience the sacraments, baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

  5. We need our kids’ help.  Sometimes an all-kids ministry communicates that kids are to be served and not serve. Inviting them to help welcome friends and greet new people shows that children are the little hands and feet of Christ.
