Church Planting

If we are disciples who make disciples, Lord willing, our church will join hands with others to plant churches here in the Midlands and to the ends of the earth. We've seen God do this, both in the local churches listed below and outward to security-sensitive fields overseas. We pray for more workers for the harvest.

We continue to pray, to strategize, to network, to seek the next place God would have us plant here in Columbia or beyond.

In 2018, our church launched Adam and Lauri Williams to plant Rivercrest Presbyterian Church in nearby Lexington, SC. The Lord is using this church body to reach Lexington county by making gospel-centered disciples committed to worship, community, and mission.

In 2014, our church prayerfully commissioned JP and Laurie Sibley to plant New City Fellowship in Orangeburg, SC, 45 minutes away. The Lord has grown a diverse, worshipful body striving to “Make disciples who do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God.”

In 2012, the Lord brought three families together to prayerfully pursue planting an evangelistic, disciple making church in downtown Columbia. We were quickly joined by other like-hearted friends and supported by generous churches and individuals from many places. We held our first worship service September 2013 in the Tapp's building on Main Street with 60 souls in attendance. Since then the Lord has grown us numerically and spiritually. We've seen friends baptized, disciples matured, missionaries sent, and churches planted. We've loved much, failed often, wounded and been wounded, needed every hand on deck, and witnessed miracles. God is faithful.
